NetworkHD Display Receiver accepting distributed HDMI signals from a transmitter or network switch for the creation of scalable HD Over IP solutions using JPEG2000 compression technology.

WyreStorm NetworkHD changes the way AV distribution systems are designed and specified in projects by providing integrators with a simple, flexible and cost effective HD signal distribution and advanced Video Wall management solution applicable to a wide variety of commercial installation environments.

Key features include:

  • Transmits full HD video over the network using JPEG2000 compression for high quality video distribution over any distance
  • Powerful video wall functionality of any configuration with simple programming and Enado control compatibility to make previously complex programming easy
  • PoE simplifies the installation

The NHD-IP-RX receives Ethernet transmissions of full HD video and audio over Cat5e/6 from either a network switch or NHD-IP-TX Transmitter up to 100m/328ft.

With audio breakout and RS232 the NHD-IP-RX enables signals to be received and controlled at displays, with additional displays expanding a system by simply daisychaining a virtually unlimited number of receivers for scalable distribution that fits the needs of any application.

Overview

Capable of transmitting high-quality, full HD video to almost any distance, WyreStorm NetworkHD enables a standard Ethernet networking equipment to replace proprietary HDMI matrices, making installation and management of the AV distribution network simpler and almost infinitely scalable.

The flexibility of NetworkHD enables source components to be centrally located or distributed anywhere on the network removing the limitations of fixed input/output matrices and allowing the customers’ requirements to drive the specification, not the limitations of the technology.

The NetworkHD product range is WyreStorm’s first IP-based video distribution system designed to provide a more flexible AV distribution system and, for the first time in a WyreStorm product, video wall management solution enabling installation in a wider range of commercial video applications.

Designed for electronic system integrators who service custom residential and commercial consumer electronic markets worldwide, NetworkHD is ideal for residential houses & MDU developments, airports, stadiums, shopping malls, sports bars, boardrooms and anything in between.

Key System Features for Commercial:

  • Achieve any video wall configuration
  • Almost unlimited video sources and displays located anywhere on the network
  • KVM and control pass-through enables control from anywhere on the network
  • Integration with third party systems
  • The modular nature of the system enables individual sources & screens to be added as required so a system can grow as application requirements evolve
  • Standard IP network distributions reduces cabling to each zone
  • Sources can be located in a central rack or distributed from in zone locations

IMPORTANT NOTICE
WyreStorm has seen an issue with the receiver as follows:

Upon switching sources to the NHD-IP-RX using the analog audio breakout, the speaker will emit a pop or click. This is caused by the chipset utilized and no solution is available at this time. It is recommended that the audio amplification used alongside the receiver is muted during switching when using the analog audio breakout functionality.

WyreStorm has released a software update to the TX & RX units that fixes a different pop/click issue on the analog audio breakout when a source is paused, muted or falls silent for more than 2 seconds. The update is available on the Downloads tab on this page.  To install the firmware update, enter the IP address of the NHD-IP-RX into a web browser and use the update section to install the firmware.

Features

  • 1080P@60Hz up to 100m/328ft between network components for high quality video up to any distance
  • Seamless matrix switching functionality through a gigabit switch: Functions like a matrix without the limitation of fixed inputs and outputs and proprietary hardware
  • Modular system design allows integrators to easily add a receiver or transmitter to the network to achieve additional video inputs and outputs for configurations - allows a system to grow after the initial installation whilst keeping the cost of the initial installation to a minimum
  • The simplest HDMI over IP system available to date that reduces setup and configuration time with minimal networking knowledge required to configure a system
  • NetworkHD Controller receives control messages enabling it to function like a standard video matrix to simplify controller programming and installation requirements
  • DTS/Dolby digital audio up to 7.1 supports multi-channel audio for compatibility with any source
  • Point to Point mode enables operation of a single source and single display without a network so systems can be installed & tested without further equipment
  • Separate audio Line IN in the Transmitter and Line OUT in the Receiver - for selection of audio from a separate source other than the video - for example shopping malls and other retail outlts where video, music & announcements need to be made
  • RS232 connection for controlling of displays & sources from anywhere on the network
  • Achieve system configurations from 1 input to 1000 outputs or anything in between to enable systems to be catered to all sizes from the smallest houses to international airports
  • A cost effective, yet high-quality solution for AV distribution and video wall management, representing both lower costs to installer & customer
  • Simple integration to leading control systems:  Eventual support for third-party control drivers, including WyreStorm Enado, Control4, AMX, Crestron, Elan & RTI to ensure compatibility with other networking equipment [TBC]
