The second generation of WyreStorm's HDBaseT 4K switching solutions and a step up in UltraHD, the MX-0808-POH-4K-G2 is fully featured Class A HDBaseT matrix featuring support of both 4K@30Hz with a chroma subsampling rate of 4:4:4 and 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 enabling the connection up to two HDCP 2.2 sources for the distribution and control of 4K content up to 70m/320ft.  

Like its predecessor the MX-0808-POH-4K-G2 features the HDBaseT 5Play™ feature set for 4K/HD video, audio, Ethernet, 2way IR control, RS-232 of matrix functions and PoH power up to 100m/328, but higher specification 4K support and HDCP 2.2 transmission modules ensures instant compatibility with 4K broadcast standards.

Please Note:  The HDMI and HDBaseT output ports cannot be used at the same time for a particular port i.e. no mirroring of the port.

Overview

The MX‐0808‐POH-4K-G2 8x8 matrix offers HDBaseT Class A distribution and control of UltraHD 4K content up to 70m/230ft along a single Cat6 cable with the option of 4K@30hz with chroma subsampling rates of 4:4:4 in transmission modules 1-6 and up to 4K@60Hz with subsampling of 4:2:0 and support for HDCP 2.2 in slots 7-8 for compatibility with the latest 4K broadcast standards and content encryption.  Additionally, for 1080p@60Hz with a colour depth of 48bit the transmission range extends to cover distances of up to 100m/328ft. 

The powerful HDBaseT 5Play feature set offers 4K/HD video, multichannel HD audio, 2way IR and local RS-232 and RS-485 control and network switching using an internal LAN and WEBUI, Ethernet pass-through and PoH central powering of display zones.

With transmission consisting of HDMI In, HDBaseT Out and switched HDMI out, the MX-0808‐PP-POH-4K is capable of using HDBaseT or HDMI connections including serial and IR control.

Extensive internal EDID management is included using pre-set, stored or recalled settings via control software to negotiate communication between connected source/display devices with full compatibility with leading third party control systems including the WyreStorm Enado multi-platform control interface. 

Seeking to avoid compatibility issues encountered by some manufacturers with certain display devices, the WyreStorm MX-0808-POH-4K-G2 is tested compatible with all currently available 4K screens, CI and commercial control systems, graphics cards and consumer devices that may form part of any 4K project.  Future 4K compatibility is also assured through support for 4K broadcast standards, including HDCP 2.2, as ratified by the Blu-ray Disc Association and UltraHD Alliance for future-proof distribution and control for the next generation of 4K content and source devices.
