With Class A HDBaseT 5Play handling the distribution of video, HD audio, power and control, and support for the latest 4K UHD standards, the EX-70-H2X-ARC includes a revised chipset for increased compatibility with new 4K UHD source devices for full 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 over distances up to 70m/230ft and 1080p@60Hz/48bit up to 100m/328ft, including two-way IR and serial control.

With feature-rich Class A HDBaseT 5Play™, the EX-70-H2X-ARC handles all signal distribution needs in any environment where 4K UHD HDR video, 2ch PCM and multichannel audio up to 7.1, DTS-X/Dolby Atmos, bidirectional IR and RS-232, Ethernet passthrough and power is required along a single Cat6 cable over an distances up to 70m/230ft (4K) or 1080p @60hz 48bit up to 100m/328ft.

Featuring an enhanced chipset to ensure compatibility with current and future UHD source devices, including those outputting 4K HDR content, the EX-70-H2X-ARC offers full compatibility with the latest UltraHD content and HDMI 2.0 video standards for transmission up to 4K UHD @30hz 4:4:4 24bit and 4K HDR @24Hz 4:2:0 10bit (BT.2020).  

Supporting distribution of 4K UHD video, 2ch PCM audio and multichannel support for up to 7.1, DTS-X and Dolby Atmos, bidirectional IR and RS-232, the EX-70-H2X-ARC also features 2-way PoH to enable the extender to be remotely powered from either TX or RX for ultimate convenience and ease of installation.  Furthermore, with a compact chassis of just 25mm, the EX-70-H2X-ARC is designed with discreet and flexible placement in mind behind even the slimmest wall mount.

Packed with audio visual functionality, the EX-70-H2X-ARC enables digital audio from a display device such as SmartTV to be sent back to the receiver and to other locations via switchable audio control between ARC and local source on both units.  Even older (not-so-smart) TVs are able to get in on the act by outputting audio to the Toslink S/PDIF input on the EX-70-H2X-ARC receiver, meaning any TV with an optical output can send its audio.

The flexibility doesn’t end there with the transmitter able to switch audio output between local HDMI source and ARC from the receiver, and the two S/PDIF outputs on the receiver switchable between local ARC and audio breakout of the remote source device. 

That’s a whole lot of audio switching options for something so compact – luckily EDID management, firmware updates and LED panel indication to instantly identify unit power, signal status and quality and HDCP presence helps guides through any potential installation challenges and two-way PoH allows for units to be remotely powered at either location making the whole experience even more convenient.
