At the top of the Wyrestorm STD matrix range, the MX0404-STD-RS232 builds on the simple and effective HDMI-only distribution of its two smaller siblings by adding greater control in the form of RS232 connectivity for firmware updates or third party integration.
The units contain in-built automatic equalisation and amplification to ensure optimum signal transmission without loss in video/audio quality, and also feature EDID management using adjustable DIP settings to encourage device communication should compatibility issues be encountered during installation.
For reliable, no-nonsense HD distribution and control on a budget, over short distances, the MX0404-STD is a solid choice.
- The performance of this product depends on the quality of HDMI cables used. Please ensure good quality cables are used and do not exceed a 10m HDMI cable without first considering a Cat5eii/Cat6 extender product.

4 Input to 4 Output HD matrix switcher with RS232 connectivity that allows any of its 4 HDMI sources to be distributed simultaneously to up to 4 displays over distances up to 15m (49ft) using good quality HDMI cables
HDMI ports also support DVI signals and can be connected to the full range of Wyrestorm extender products for greater choice over cable/method of distribution and providing further display output possibilities (mirrored to the output)
Including an output bandwidth of 6.75 Gbps over HDMI, Wyrestorm STD matrices are capable of full 1080p HD 3D video and HD multichannel audio distribution with multiple methods of possible control:
- Clear, easy to use front panel push button
- IR on front and rear
- IR via UTP sync
- RS232 - for control (using an extender set), or updating firmware or third party control (open source intergration protocols available with market leading control systems)

If using IR Soruce control feature, we recommend no duplication of source type due to the global IR feature. If duplicate sources are being used, please consider the PRO or HDBT Lite models as these offer discrete IR routing.
